Michi: "How I lost 25 kilos with just one workout and healthy eating while maintaining my weekly feast"

Michi has become 73% stronger and 25 kg of fat lighter. Every Tuesday for the past 12 months, Michi Berlinka, 50, rings the bell at 13:10 sharp at Löwenstrasse 53a, AURUM Fit Studio in Zurich. "If someone had told me that I would name a fitness subscription as the best investment under 4000 Swiss francs, I would have thought the person was crazy. After all, I played handball and soccer for over 20 years. Unfortunately, I had suffered a knee injury, developed a great liking for everything that is unhealthy, and weighed 130 kg thanks to a lack of self-discipline. Today I'm the crazy one, already looking forward on Monday to the fitness appointment on Tuesday!"

Chicken egg tapping or chocolate egg hunting? 10 reasons to eat more eggs for your health

Eggs - a pure vitamin and mineral bomb that should not be missed not just at Easter, but also at the daily breakfast table. Eggs are real powerhouses with many valuable nutrients. They are rich in vitamins A, B2, B12, D and folic acid, as well as phosphorus, selenium, iron, zinc and choline. Almost all the proteins and amino acids contained in eggs can be converted and absorbed. And now comes the surprise: egg yolk contains more proteins than the protein itself! Yup, egg yolk consists of about 50% water, 32% fat and 15% proteins. Liquid egg white, on the other hand, is about 90% water and only 10% protein. #sorrynotsorry but so much for the trends of eating only egg white omelette with leeks and spinach on the weekend. Oh yeah, and one thing right up front: the information in this blog post refers exclusively to the chicken eggs and NOT the chocolate eggs.

Post pandemic fitness routine: How the 6 Minute Workout buys you time

The pandemic has shown us that health and social relationships matter most. And the lockdown has changed the way we live (at least for a while) and the way we perceive time. When gyms closed and fitness classes were canceled, we had to figure out how to exercise at home. Turns out, 3-4 hours of sweat sessions every week shaking that bootie are not just unnecessary but have also been robbing our time. So did the daily commute. We learned that the popular workout routines varying from yoga, pilates, spinning, body pump, to body boost can be done from home. Alone these apps can get you the needed amount of physical and mental fitness. Except for the 6 Minute high intensity workout performed on our “time machine”. Time, because it literally buys you time and improves your quality of life.

The perfect strategy for a strong, lean, healthy, and happy body

Suppose you want to look and feel as good as possible by the time the sun is out and quarantini will be replaced with a bellini. Suppose you also want to live as long as possible. Suppose you want to optimize your hormone balance, energy, mood, fertility, strength, power, and cardiovascular capacity. Suppose you want to introduce only the most effective strategies into your routine - not to prepare for a triathlon, casting for Baywatch series, or swing your hips on a catwalk - but rather to maximize your wellbeing and look good naked. What’s the perfect strategy for a strong, lean, healthy, and happy body?
