Tips and tricks for losing weight and reducing cellulite
S

ummer is here. You don’t feel 100 percent comfortable with your body?

You’re not alone. Especially in summer, a lot of women don't feel too comfortable because of cellulite. Cellulite is an enlargement of the fat cells, which are underneath the skin and fascia. The fascia is controlled by growth hormone, which is the anti-aging hormone. Here are some tips and tricks for losing weight and reducing cellulite:

1. Lower your insulin level

For losing weight and reducing cellulite it's important to keep your insulin level low. That can be achieved with intermitted fasting and eliminating sugars from your diet. That means that you eat only two times a day and your meals should include protein, vegetables and fat. You should avoid snacking, but you don’t have to reduce your caloric intake.

2. Balance your exercise and recovery

For losing weight and your general health, it's important to exercise and move your whole body. Especially high intensity training (HIT) and high intensity interval training (HIIT), where you train shortly and intensely. But it’s very important not to over-train and to recover after the training session. You should take some days off for a good recovery. When your body is exhausted all the time, it cannot burn fat. To train and recover effectively, do a short intense workout once a week.

3. Sleep like a baby

Deep sleep helps burn fat. But you need at least 8 hours of sleep for losing weight. Energy use is particularly high during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. During this time, your brain is highly active and you burn the most glucose, typically your body's source of fuel. Your heart rate and blood pressure also rise during this time, which burns more calories.

Stretching before going to bed and taking some vitamins helps enhance your sleep.

4. Reduce stress

Stress blocks fat burning. If you're stressed, your body releases cortisol which stops the fat burning process. Further, cortisol affects your sleep. Vitamin D and walking helps lower the cortisol level, so that the fat burning process can take place. Further, meditative exercises like yoga or meditation or even a massage can help you find your peace of mind and release tension.

5. Add certain nutrients

There are different nutrients, which help the fat burning process. Sea kelp for example activates the thyroid, which speeds up your metabolism. Potassium citrate lowers the need of insulin and enhance your sleep.Nutritional yeast, which contains vitamin B, can help you with stress.

All these steps help lose weight, reduce the fat cells and strengthen the fascia. The process for losing your cellulite can last over three years. And if you start now, you’re going to achieve your goal sooner. If you struggle to find the right workout, try train like an astronaut.
